Craig Manning
Ex-boyfriend of Ashley. The two of them seemed to understand each other
on a sort of deeper level, and she helped him deal with a really bad time recently when his dad died. Then he cheated on her
with Manny, and Ash dumped him. Craig lives with his stepfather, Joey, and his kid sister, Angela. He's funny and smart (except
when it comes to girls). Craig plays in a band with Marco, Jimmy, and Spinner.
JT Yorke
J.T.'s always been best friends with Toby and part of his crowd, along with
Emma, Manny, etc. But since J.T. stood up for Paige during her really bad time--and since he hit puberty--he's been in with
the cool older kids and kind of leaving his old friends behind. Paige has always been J.T.'s dream girl, but he's also developed
a huge crush on Manny lately. J.T. is (and probably always will be) the class clown. ("J.T." stands for "James Tiberius,"
by the way.)
Marco Del Rossi
Marco's in with Jimmy and Craig. They're all in the same band, with Spinner
on drums. But Marco's not down with Spin lately, because of Spinner's unwillingness to accept Marco for what he is: gay. Luckily
not all his friends are the same way; when a group of idiots assaulted Marco for being gay, Jimmy was there to help him in
a flash. Marco's other true friend is Ellie, who longs to be his girlfriend, but she knows that will never happen. Marco also
recently met Paige's brother Dylan, another gay student at Degrassi, and there seemed to be some connection happening.
Rick Murray
Rick loves himself, and he says he loves Terri too. Except you don't hurt
the ones you love, and Rick hurt Terri horribly. When he gets angry, he gets abusive, and the last time that happened, Terri
ended up in the hospital. She's still there. Rick insists he's sorry and that he never intended to hurt her, but can you trust
him when he's hurt her again and again?
Dylan Michaelchuk
Dylan is Paige's older brother and Marco's
boyfriend. He's openly and proudly gay (not that anyone would give him grief about it anyway, since he's a star hockey player
of the type to whom it is not wise for one to give grief). Dylan doesn't love the fact that Marco is still somewhat closeted.
Toby Isaacs
Boyfriend of Kendra, stepbrother of Ashley. He's also J.T.'s best friend,
though they've started to kind of drift apart, since J.T.'s slipped into the cool crowd. Toby's a computer and chess kind
of guy, and he's a good friend. He also stood up to Spinner, who was getting tough about Toby dating his sister Kendra.
Manny Santos
Manny seriously changed her image this year. She was tired of being "cute,"
so now she's going for sexy. She's definitely getting more attention from boys; problem is she's also alienated her best friends
Emma and J.T. in the process. Manny dated Craig once last year, and he ended up breaking her heart. She never got over it.
This year, she went back for more, and a major hook-up ensued. But it all ended up the same way...
Alex
Bad girl Alex came on the scene as bad boy Jay's girlfriend.
She seems to hate everybody but herself, Jay, Sean, and the "Montreal crew." While Paige's meanness hides a real, caring person
underneath, Alex's meanness hides even more meanness.
Paige Michaelchuck
Girlfriend of Spinner, captain of the Spirit Squad, self-appointed leader
of the fashion police, Paige is the girl that everyone wants to be. At least, that's what she thinks. Actually, Paige has
toned down her ego quite a bit since she went through a horrible experience last year. She's friends again with Ashley, who
she'd been on the outs with for a long time. She hangs with Jimmy and Hazel too.
Hazel Aden
Wherever Paige goes, you can usually find Hazel. They're good friends and
a lot alike. Hazel made her mark at Degrassi when she admitted to the class that she's Muslim; she'd convinced them all that
she's Jamaican, but when she saw the mistake she'd made by hiding the truth, she promised never to be ashamed of who she is
again. Hazel hangs with Jimmy, Spinner, and the rest of Paige's crew. She now dates Jimmy.
